New Patients

Dr Newell (previously Lowe) has been an incredibly significant part of my son’s journey through childhood. He is starting college this year and is transitioning out of needing a pediatrician which devastates both of us. Dr Lowe cares tremendously about her individual patients and has shown so much compassion for my son and our family. There is no other doctor I would have rather overseen his well-being for 18 years. Dr Newell, you are a gift and everyone child’s life you touch is such a blessing. Thank you ♥️

We love Carolina Peds. Our children see Dr. Newell and they love her (and my oldest is terrified of going to the doctor). She makes them feel at home and she spends quality time listening to any concerns or answering any questions we’ve got. It’s been easy to schedule appointments, staff is super friendly and helpful!

We have seen Dr. Keiffer for 17 years. She is a kind and compassionate physician.

I recommend this pediatric practice to everyone. Every doctor we’ve encountered here has been exceptional—thorough, compassionate, and deeply committed to getting to the root of what’s going on. They don’t rush; they listen, ask the right questions, and offer well-thought-out diagnoses. Dr. Akhbari, in particular, has gone above and beyond for our family. When our daughter had a ruptured appendix, she even called us after hours just to check in. That kind of care is rare. Truly, these are the BEST doctors around—no question.

As a mom of 3 girls who all go to Carolina Peds and as a therapist and group practice owner (Three Birds Counseling) who shares clients with their providers, I am continually impressed with their knowledge, compassionate care, accessibility, and professionalism. Across sick and well visits, we've probably met with each doctor at some point (all good experiences!) but specifically have loved building closer relationships with Drs. Newell and Williams.

Been here for 8 years and the entire staff is fantastic! They literally go out of their way to ensure that not only the patient is well cared for but parents as well. The office staff is so efficient. MAJOR shout out to Ginger who is the most efficient and effective LPN ever.

Absolutely recommend this practice to any parents! I’ve not had a bad experience in the almost 12 years I’ve been taking my child here. I do miss Dr. Brassfield though. He was a gem while he practiced here prior to his retirement.

I absolutely love this place. Its really hard to find someone you trust. Dr Hooker is fantastic. He is really good with the kids, doesnt rush appointments, super understanding and LISTENS. I truly just his judgment and advice. The front desk ladies are very kind. Any time Ive called in, theyve been wonderful. If I HAD to complain the only thing I would say is the wait time can be a bit much sometimes but im sure things happen and thats life. The nurse that we usually deal with is nice, I wish she was more kid friendly, she can be a little cold to the babies but she is kind. Im sure its just apart of her personality.

I cannot express enough how thankful I am of Dr.Melvin and how she is with my son. She listens to my concerns and truly cares about my sons well being. Could not ask for a better doctor than her! Getting him in for a sick day visit is mainly guaranteed and I absolutely love that! Could not recommend a more better place!

Myself and my children love Carolina pediatric when anything health wise goes wrong.thevstaff is absolutely amazing and the doctors we have seen are fantastic I can't compliment them enough to truly do them justice! Also the art in the waiting area is amazing great atmosphere
