Dr. McHugh (who is known to most of her patients and colleagues as Dr. Keiffer) was raised in in New York State. She moved to the warmer climate of North Carolina for her medical training and has remained here since. She initially decided to become a pediatrician because it nicely combines her love of science and working with kids. She enjoys interacting with a variety of diverse children, understanding their unique needs, and contributing to their well-being. Pediatricians play a crucial role in the early development of children and she enjoys the opportunity to have positive and long lasting effects on their futures. She has built many strong relationships with her families over the years and hopes to continue nurturing these bonds throughout her tenure at Carolina Pediatrics of the Triad.
